BLACKBURN ice hockey fans this week waved goodbye to three Hawks stars.
Lee Knowles, Lee Caldcleugh and Christian Wareing have all decided to leave after the recent influx of new players.
But as Hawks boss Bobby Haig explains, his new recruits are not the reason for the departures.
"The players have left for their own reasons," said Haig. "Lee Caldcleugh has left to find himself another club because he just didn't think he was getting enough ice time, which is fair enough, it's his decision.
"Christian left for similar reasons and I believe he is signing for Bradford. Lee Knowles has gone back to Canada to be with his family.
"There is no ill-feeling involved, it was all very amicable.
"The players were very professional about the whole thing, as I would expect from anyone here."
