COMPUTER games retailer Electronics Boutique, which has a store in Blackburn, has warned profit margins were coming under pressure.
Sales of individual games were up about 25 per cent on last year but margins were falling in advance of the crucial Christmas period.
Chief executive John Steinbrecher said economies of scale from its acquisition of the Game store chain earlier this year had helped it ride over the pricing difficulties.
"By offering best all round value we expect to emerge from this difficult trading period with an even greater share in and influence over the future of our industry," said Mr Steinbrecher.
