A BUSY week of cup and league action in the Preston and District Football League produced a variety of results.
The match between Crossens and Leyland St Mary's was cancelled after the referee failed to turn up while the Walton-Le-Dale vs Higher Walton United derby saw the visitors blast five unanswered goals past their neighbours.
In the Lancashire Amateur Shield, Warrilow and Newton helped Appley Bridge hold Standish St Wilfs to a 2-2 draw in the closest-fought match of the day.
Results: Blackrod 3, Burscough Richmond 2; Padiham 3, Whitebread Salmesbury 1; Standish St Wilfs 2, Appley Bridge 2; Tempest 4, Livesey 0.
In the Guildhall Cup, Wright, Grimshaw and Kerrigan, eased Longridge Town past Southport Trinity 4-0.

Leigh RMI crashed to a 3-0 defeat in the Premier Division as Pageant comprehensively outplayed them; Holmes, Paynton and Dalton scoring against the home side.
Results: Burscough 2, Lostock St Gregorys 1; Croston Sports 1, Leyland Town 2; Euxton Villa 3, Skelmersdale 1; Leigh RMI 0, Pageant 3.
Euxton Villa proved the week's biggest scorers in Division One with an impressive 7-1 rout over Leyland Red Rose. Man of the match Collings netted four times.

In Division Two West, Croston Sports and Southport Trinity both scored five against Charnock Richard and Walmer Bridge respectively.

A hat-trick from Clarke and two goals each from Webster and Cooper for Leyland Red Rose were enough to defeat a bewildered Farington Villa in Division Two East.
Results: Farington Villa 0, Leyland Red Rose 7; Hoghton 3, Varsity 2; Royal Garrison 0, CCA Staceys 3; Walton-le-Dale 0, Higher Walton Utd 5; Young 4, BTR 6.
In Division Three, strikes from Whitesice and Chester earned New Longton a point against visitors CFC Adlington, who proved a worthy match with goals from Orrell and Church.
