SOLDIERS from the Queen's Lancashire Regiment, currently based in Omagh, are swapping their army boots for trainers - as they run from Warrington back to the Irish town for charity.
The 12-strong team of squaddies is running the relay to raise funds for the Omagh Charity, the Cancer Research Campaign and Marie Curie and visited Preston yesterday (Wednesday).
And two of the team are local lads - team leader Major Richard Beatson from Garstang and private Lee Roscoe from Preston.
