PRESTON midfielder Michael Appleton will again start on the bench for tomorrow's Division Two clash with Bury.
The former Manchester United man played 90 minutes in Preston's reserve game against Birmingham in midweek, but is unlikely to make the starting 11 due to the good form of Sean Gregan and Mark Rankine.
Tuesday's two-goal hero David Eyres will continue on the left in the absence of Paul McKenna, who is due a hernia operation next week.
Pushing for a place up front is Bjarki Gunnlaugsson, who has scored in Preston's last two reserve games and had a goal disallowed last weekend against Enfield.
However, he will be hard pressed to break up the partnership of Jon Macken and Kurt Nogan which has already brought North End 15 goals this season.
Squad: Moilanen, Alexander, Edwards, Jackson, Kidd, Cartwright, Eyres, Rankine, Gregan, Macken, Nogan, Lucas, Murdock, Appleton, Gunnlaugsson, Mathie, McKenna, Darby, Murphy.
