ST MARY'S 6th Form College students went ten-pin bowling this week to raise funds for the Jubilee 2000 appeal.
They raised hundreds of pounds in sponsorship in the event at Blackpool Superbowl organised with the help of Blackpool's Youth Service.
Jubilee 2000 is backed by Bono and Bob Geldof and aims to persuade Western governments to cancel the debts of the world's poorest countries for the next millennium.
In the coming months the students are planning to visit the European Parliament to champion the cause.
