I WAS at my doctor's this week for a flu jab. The place was packed, standing room only, and phones were ringing all the time.
Then I could hear one near me. A young woman took a mobile phone out of her pocket and continued to have a giggly conversation with someone.
All eyes were on her, there was dead silence and we watched in awe of this. She didn't bat an eyelid. Now I know people walk about with them stuck to their ear holes, even when driving a car, but to hold a giggly conversation in a doctor's surgery is beyond belief.
These phones are OK for emergencies but this is taking it too far. Are we never going to get rid of these mobile maniacs.
