ST HELENS Schools slipped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of a strong Liverpool side at Ruskin Drive on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the under 13s drew 3-3 with Blackburn. Scorers were Higherside players Andrew Richards (2) and Ian Files.
Elsewhere the under 11s B side beat Maghull 4-3. Scorers were Neil Ormond (2), Greg Brierly and man of the match David Connolly.
This weekend the under 11s travel to Kirkby and Nuneaton. Both games kick off at 10.30am.
Merton Bank was the venue for the St Helens Primary Schools Six-a-Side Finals.
Organiser Paul Harris divided the last six teams into two mini leagues. Group A included Corpus Christi, St Anns and St John Vianney.
Group B consisted of St Teresas, Sutton Manor and St Theresas.
And in the final St Anns defeated St Teresas 4-0, with goals from James Hamouda, Neil Ormond and John Bathurst. The medals were presented by Sid Green and St Anns will now represent St Helens in the Merseyside Finals on Saturday, December 4.
