I AND many others have come to the conclusion that no matter what good things have happened in Hindsford ward, the Lib Dems' Bleakley/Lingings will claim credit.
Their Machiavellian machinations obviously bear no semblance to the truth. Their trivial ramblings, which incidentally they claim as successes, could be achieved by a simple telephone call, which is in fact exactly how they do it. Anyone can do that, it doesn't take an elected councillor.
Where are the dynamic duo when there is serious debate - nowhere to be found. They coherse and rehearse privately but are afraid of attending meetings or expressing their point of view. Yes, Mr Bleakley may attend one or two, but sits there silently.
They claim in their Focus leaflet that the Hindsford Labour Party has been absent since last May. How sick can they get? Since May and before, Mr Bleakley's next door neighbour, the late Mayor, Councillor William Smith was suffering from a terminal illness. His loving wife, Councillor Evelyne Smith was at his side most of the time, but did not neglect her ward duties. I know that as a fact because I sit, voluntarily, on council committees as representative for the disabled. Labour have been well represented in the past and will be in the future with Mark Aldred.
The Lib Dems have not posted a propaganda leaflet through my letterbox for quite a long time. I receive the leaflets second hand. What is wrong Mr Bleakley/Mr Lingings? Do you abhor constructive criticism or have you realised that I can see through the tissue of untruths and fake representation that you pervade in your throwaway leaflet, which incidentally, is what should be done with it.
