GARSWOOD United were held to a 1-1 draw by Grove United on Saturday.
Their goal came from youth team player Barry Clarke. Russell Dineley was man of the match, while Neil Prescott was unlucky with a shot that rattled the crossbar.
Meanwhile, a young reserve team suffered a 6-1 beating at Broadheath Central.
They found themselves 4-0 down at the break, but improved after the break and were rewarded with a goal by John Dagnall. Men in form were Ben Smith, Paul McVeigh and Graham Owen.
