NORTH End could be in line for a bumper pay-day if rumours surrounding West Bromich Albion's Kevin Kilbain bear fruition.
The ex-Northender, who has a significant sell-on clause for North End, in his contract, is rumoured to have attracted a £5 million bid from Liverpool. He has scored 17 goals for the Midlands club, six of them this season.
LONG-term injury man Gary Parkinson is back in full training with his PNE team mates nearly a year after he was ruled out of action and had to undergo complex knee surgery.
The 31-year-old is expected to be competing for a team space next month.
THE famous Preston North End sign which used to adorn the old West stand have gone up for sale. The 17 letters were thought to have been destroyed when The Tom Finney stand was built, but they have been hidden away at Baxi ever since.
CHAIRMAN Bryan Gray has hit back at critics of the proposed football museum. Fans have hit out at the club, saying nothing is happening.
But speaking on an unoffical PNE site, Gray said: "I realise that many people cannot see much progress on The Football Museum because work is going on behind the scenes. The project is going to plan with a target opening date at the end of next year. The designs for the Museum entrance and for the exhibition areas are very exciting and you will see construction work starting on site early next year."
PRESTON have been drawn against Wrexham in the first round of the AutoWindscreens Shield, the same side they beat in the first round of the Worthington Cup.
PNE's replay at Enfield will be played on Tuesday, November 30 at St Albans' Clarence Park, with a 7.30pm kick-off. PNE have 1,500 tickets with seats costing £10 and £8, and standing at £7 and £5.
FARID Diaf has refused to have a second operation on his face in a bid to return to first-team football quicker. Diaf is already back in training after an operation to realign the bone at the side of his left eye - and he has told PNE he'd rather continue getting back on form than have another.
