TWO innovators have struck gold!
Steve Wilson and Peter May, who both work in the treatments department at British Aerospace, Samlesbury, were presented with the Gold Innovation Award by the company's chairman, Sir Richard Evans.
The pair came up with a new way of coating protective bushes used in airframes to protect components.
The new method devised by Steve and Peter has made the process quicker and removes a bottleneck in production.
The pair are now looking at rolling out their innovation across the country in a move which could save BAe £1million.
