PRESTON skipper Sean Gregan has sent a warning message to plucky Enfield - 'we can do it'.

Captain Marvel Gregan was as disappointed as anyone not to see North End win at the weekend, but is confident his side can beat the Rymans League outfit at their temporary home in St Albans next Tuesday.

It is a bizarre task facing North End next week as it is a game which, frankly, should not be taking place.

North End were twice denied the lead on Saturday, and, had their finishing been the same as we have seen in previous weeks, a cricket score could have been on the cards.

Gregan said: "We are disappointed not to have won after all this pressure but all credit to them, they pulled 10 men back in defence and it is difficult to score when teams do that.

"We should win on Tuesday. We had enough chances to win it the first time around, but with our away form this season we can do it.

"But we know games like this are never easy."

Manager Moyes said: "I am disappointed we did not play as well as we have done and the players know that.

"However, we have another chance to do it and this time we will make sure we do the job properly.

"We know what we are up against and we know what we have to do on Tuesday."

Should North End win next Tuesday at St Albans they face the prospect of taking on inconsistent Oldham in the third round, which could mean passage to the fourth round and a glamourous tie to boot.

But first there is the minor task keeping up the pressure on the top of the table teams, and where better to do it than at Bury on Saturday?

The midtable outfit have had mixed fortunes this season and as Gregan says, it is North End's away form which has done so much for them this season, pushing North End to third in the league.
