FIRMS in East Lancashire will be able to find out about their new rateable values early next year.
The Valuation Office has been carrying out a revaluation of businesses to upgrade rateable values on non-domestic buildings.
The new values will come into effect on April 1 2000 and will be used to calculate individual bills.
Rateable values are a key factor in the calculation of business rates, but are not the only criteria used to work out individual rates bills.
Lists of rateable values are available for inspection at local authority and Valuation Office sites and the information is also available on the valuation website at www.voa.gov.uk
