SIX girls from Burnley Gym Club who took part in the Lancashire County Gymnastic Championships in Southport, won a total of 20 medals between them.
All the girls competed on four apparatus - vault, bars, beam and floor.
Kimberley Simpson, aged eight, won overall in her age group, claiming gold medals for vault, bars and beam.
While Joanna Taylor won overall in her age group, gaining gold for bars, beam and floor, and silver for vault. Both girls claimed the title of Lancashire Champion in their age group.
In the Under-10s competition, Nicole Gilmour finished in second place overall, winning gold for beam, and silver for bars and floor. Stevie Monk was third overall, winning silver for beam. Lucia Thorley won bronze for her floor routine.
In the Under-12s competition, Kelly Smith was in second place overall, winning gold for bars, silver for vault and bronze for beam.
The girls train five times a week at the William Thompson Recreation Centre, and they are all members of the Lancashire County squad.
