HOW I strongly agree with Debbie Taylor (Letters, November 11).
Our little dog was a nervous wreck with the constant barrage of fireworks for at least three weeks before Bonfire Night and was off her food and would not go out - all because some mindless yobs get a kick out of annoying people.
I am dreading the millennium celebrations and another barrage of fireworks. Why can't we follow the example of the Europeans who only have organised displays and do not allow fireworks to be on sale to the general public?
I am writing to Home Secretary Jack Straw about this matter and wish others would join me.
