A 13-year-old boy charged with attempted murder has been remanded into local authority care to await committal proceedings.
The boy, from Accrington, who can not be named for legal reasons, is charged with attempting to murder Kalsoom Bibi, of Richmond Road, Accrington, on October 24.
He was due to face committal proceedings yesterday at Hyndburn youth court, but the case was adjourned to December 7.
Mrs Bibi, 29, was found with multiple stab wounds at a house in Accrington after an alleged attack at her home. She underwent five-and-a-half hours of emergency surgery and has been discharged from hospital.
