FORMER education offices in Market Street, Nelson, are to be turned into a business centre.
Pendle Council's Nelson area committee has granted planning permission for the rear part of the building to be demolished to make room for 13 parking spaces and the remainder to be converted into seven offices over three floors. The building formerly housed Nelson and Colne College's catering department until it moved to a purpose built annexe at the college's Barrowford Road site, Colne.
It also housed the area's education offices until they were centralised in Accrington.
The building is currently unused.
