NIGHTCLUB bosses have been told they must wait three months before councillors will consider extending their opening hours to 6am.
Managers at Equinox club, Market Street, Nelson, want to open until dawn to attract big name DJs and customers.
Boss Tony Ahmed said: "Other clubs in Burnley can open until 4am and we are having difficulty attracting people from Burnley to Nelson. There are no feeder pubs in the town and people usually go to Burnley if they want to go to a club.
"To attract people from out of town we need to have something different and that's having big name DJs coming here."
The club, which was created from the former Grand Cinema building, was granted permission in the autumn to open until 4am on Saturdays and Sundays.
Pendle Council's Nelson area committee agreed the 4am closing time should stay as it is to allow time to see how it works before considering extending it even further.
The issue will be discussed again in February.
