SERVING with the Army Air Corps in Belize, Central America, we are a team of 10 ground crew (four of whom are from Lancashire) who are all going to be away from home this Christmas and millennium, some for the second year running.
This is not a conflict area, but we are still doing a professional job out here and are all missing our families and home comforts, as the facilities here are very limited.
When the mail arrives every other day, there is always a buzz of excitement. If someone gets mail it boosts their morale and heads go down when nothing arrives.
It would be greatly appreciated by us all if this letter brought a response from potential pen-pals and if anyone could send us Burnley FC or Blackburn Rovers posters, club news, etc, it would be a bonus.
