MANY of the issues discussed in your Letters Page indicate that there is either misinformation or a lack of information about how the European Community works and what is the role of the MEP in this process.
There is an opportunity to gain understanding about these matters of concern by direct discussion with one of our MEPs, Chris Davies, when he comes to talk and answer questions in Darwen tomorrow.
You have previously published letters from him in which he has made it clear that he wishes to represent the interests of the North-West and make our relationship with the EU profitable for the whole community.
That being the case, the meeting, though organised by local Liberal Democrats, would welcome anyone who wishes to take advantage of direct communication with one of our representatives.
Those wishing further information can contact me on 704746.
CHRIS THAYNE (Chairman, Blackburn with Darwen Liberal Democrats), Woodlands Grove, Darwen.
