OAKS Utd and Jetsun Sunbeds met again to reaffirm their old rivalry in the Barden Community Association Senior Seven-a-Side League, and again it was Jetsun who had no luck against the well-drilled Oaks side who seemed to go from strength to strength.
Dave Clarkin gave Jetsun a deserved first half lead, with a 20 yard screamer, a lead they held on to until five minutes from time when both Pete Atkinson and then Ian Addison hit goals to sink the hearts of the Jetsun faithful. P&M Motors moved into second position with a 2-0 win over Smurfit with Regan Haigh scoring both to go top of the goalkscoring charts with five. Ladzio beat One Step Beyond 4-0 with Winston Robinson (2), Ian Fletcher and Paul Walsh grabbing the goals.
G&G Plumbing came back from two goals down against Kestrels with goals from Tom Fallows and Geoff O'Brien which equalised goals from Paul Gilbert and simon Dickinson.
Results (week three): P&M Motors 2, Smurfit 0; One Step beyond 0, Ladzio 4; Jetsun Sunbeds 1, Oaks Utd 2; G&G Plumbing 2, Kestrels 2.
Leading goalscorers: Regan Haigh (P&M Motors) 5, Pete Atkinson (Oaks Utd) 4, Mark Tierney (Smurfit) 3, Chris Dawson (Smurfit) 3.
