HOUSEHOLDERS in Blackburn will get better quality water thanks to a £3 million scheme to replace old water mains.
North West Water has started work replacing 25 km of pipes in the Queen's Park and Audley areas of Blackburn as part of a £525 million investment programme to improve water quality in the North West.
The company's mobile visitors centre will come to the Islamic Education Society, Audley Range, Blackburn, on Wednesday to tell customers more about the work. Staff will be available between 10am and 5pm to answer residents' questions.
