BAMBER BRIDGE boss Tony Greenwood is taking his team back to the drawing board in his quest to pull them up the UniBond League.
After his side's dramatic FA Cup run, Tony Greenwood is concentrating on getting his players' minds focused on the Premier Division.
Although the club haven't applied to join the Vauxhall Conference, meaning even if they do win the league, they can't be promoted, pride is at stake for a club who impressed the nation against Cambridge a fortnight ago.
Brig let it go for a Burton at the weekend against Burton in the FA Umbro Trophy, losing to 2-0 to win an early exit from the competition.
Accrington Stanley have also pushed Brig out of the UniBond Challenge Cup, leaving Brig with the league to concentrate on.
Brig are currently sixth from bottom, a far cry from last season when they were in contention for promotion.
Now is the time to put together a good run of wins, says Greenwood, starting at Runcorn on Saturday.
Greenwood said: "The FA cup has been good to us in that it has papered over the cracks, but we need to start re-building afresh.
"We need to start proving ourselves in the league, just like we did in the Cup.
"Our season starts here."
But it starts without several key players, including Stephen Aspinall and Mark Jones, who are both suspended. Whether last weeks debutantes Ryan Wall and Caerwyn Williams, the former of who was pulled out of a reserve fixture at the last minute to cover for Ian Vickers, will play this weekend is undecided.
Runcorn are just one place above Bamber Bridge in the league, but remain in the FA Trophy after beating Conference side Northwich Victoria.
Greenwood added: "Runcorn are just ahead of us and are struggling, but they will a hard side to play.
"We need hard work to put us back on tract. But we are only four or five points behind the top teams if a good run comes together.
