A BUSINESSMAN from Preston was disqualified from acting as a company director for seven years in the Preston District Registry earlier this month.
The disqualification order prevents Christopher John Moyles, of Valentine Meadow, Cottam, from being director of a company for the stated period.
The order was made in respect of Mr Moyles' conduct as a director of Builddeal Ltd, telecommunication cable layers working from his home.
The company traded from July 1996 to November 1997 and was placed into voluntary liquidation on November 3 1997, owing creditors an estimated £94,299.
Mr Moyles had previously been a director of Quayjazz Ltd, which carried on business as cable layers, also from his home.
Quayjazz traded from February 1994 to August 1996, and was placed into voluntary liquidation on August 22 1996, owing creditors about £41,119.
The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry was represented in court by Messrs Cobbetts of Manchester.
