LANCASTER City manager Tony Hesketh talks directly to the fans this week about his hopes for his side during the crucial Christmas period:
'We are still very well placed in the league - just three points behind leaders Hyde United. If we could pick up nine points from 12 during the Christmas period I'm sure we will be right up there challenging for the top spot.
My only worry is for our injured striker Neil Morton. He had some good news this week when we were told that his injury problem was not in his knee and is to do with a muscle connected to his shin. So it's not career threatening like we feared - but he's still injured. We really need Neil back and firing on all cylinders at this crucial time.
On the bigger picture I'm still very happy with our defence and keeper who are as good as any in the league. If we can become a little more consistent up front we will be in an even stronger position than we are now.'
Lancaster will face Guiseley or Blyth Spartans in the quarter final of the prestigious League Challenge Cup.
