LUCKY Fylde Coast winner Beverley Shackleton will be jetting from Cleveleys to the Caribbean after scooping first prize in a national competition.
Beverley, from Stork Close, entered the national competition at Contessa lingerie store, Thornton, after manageress Wendy Graham persuaded her to fill out a form.
And Beverley, an independent financial advisor, was picked at random from thousands of entries received at the 80 Contessa stores nationwide, winning a seven-day all inclusive holiday for two in Jamaica.
Toasting her success with champagne 35-year-old Beverley was confirmed as the winner on Friday (Nov 26) and was presented with her prize by retail operations director of Contessa, Malcolm Manser, and Annabelle Marshall from Swept Away Negril, the resort where she will be staying.
Beverley said: "I was quite shocked more than anything else, really.
"I'd completely forgotten I'd entered because it was back in April when I filled out my details.
"And I'm not normally a lucky person - in fact I don't think I've won anything before in my whole life, so I wasn't expecting to hear anything else about this competition.
"When I was told I won this trip to Jamaica I was trying to remember exactly which competition it was.
"But I'm really looking forward to it now it's sunk in and I'm looking forward to my first visit to the Caribbean with my husband, hopefully some time in spring next year."
