LANCASHIRE traditions were enjoyed by local people who gathered to celebrate Lancashire day on Saturday.
Potato pie suppers, black puddings, traditional Lancashire music and dances were just a few of the treats enjoyed by the 200 guests At Bury's Bolholt Hotel who helped raise more than £1,000 for Bury Hospice.
The guests, including Bury's mayor and mayoress, enjoyed a toast to the Queen, the Duke of Lancaster, and were joined by other parties celebrating the day all over Lancashire.
Hospice fund-raisers organised the event to help revive forgotten traditions and raise much-needed cash for the hospice.
Organiser Christine Hancock, said: "It was a sell-out and everyone who attended had a brilliant time. It was great to celebrate Lancashire and raise money for a very worthy cause."
She added: "I am very grateful for all the support and effort that went in to making it a huge success."
