FOUR bold Leigh men revealed all to over 300 taunting women in a 'Full Monty' strip for charity on Saturday.
For weeks the cheeky foursome had been in serious training to reproduce the oscar winning film's security guard dance routine - to raise funds for MENCAP.
And the event, a first for a packed Leigh Miners, was a roaring success, pulling in £2,184.40 to help less fortunate children.
The only difference from the film was that this team is in full employment.
The lads, Kevin Orrell, a sheet metal worker, Mike Bellamy, a security guard, Steve Lancaster, a painter and decorator, and Pete Todd, a builder, were roped in to perform the routine during discussions for money raising ventures for the charity.
They spent weeks being trained by a choreographer at Leigh's Apple Dance Studio in a bid to get the moves just right.
And despite on-the-day nerves the quartet, who range from 5ft 5in to 6ft 7in in height, performed brilliantly. Unfortunately event organiser, mum-of-six and wife of Kevin, Karen Orrell, of Knowsley Street, Leigh, who has an 11-years-old autistic son, a pupil at Two Porches, Atherton, missed the show.
She said: "The lads were sober when they went on, but they had a few pints after. They thought it was going to be easy, but it wasn't.
" I was so nervous I'd had a few and couldn't watch. The lads' wives were carrying their nerves for them. They were in a far worse state than the performers.
"It's definitely the first and last time we'll all go through that again, but in the end it was worth it for the total raised."
Karen wants to thank Currys who donated a prize; shops who sold tickets; Proper Fancy, Hindley Green, for the uniforms, and the Sportsman for allowing the lads rooms to rehearse - and everyone who attended.
