BORROWDALE United had six league fix tures last weekend, their Seniors took on bottom-placed Bacup Utd and were held to a very scrappy 0-0 draw. The Burnley side's man of the match was Craig Frost.
The Under Nines lost 3-0 to table toppers Blackburn Boys despite the result the lads battled from start to finish. Man of the match was Alister Higson.
The Under 10s lost 2-1 to Colne Clarets. Goalscorer Chris Walker shared the man of the match award with Dominic Taylor. The Under 12s lost 4-1 to league favourites Junior Clarets, Sam Leah scored the goal and Danny Jones was the man of the match.
Borrowdale Under 13s took on Michelin and won 2-1 after lots of effort. Adrian Whitehead and Marc Gradwell scored the goals. Karl Hesledon was man of the match. Borrowdale Under 15s also took on Michelin losing 5-1. Paul Higson scored the goal and man of the match was shared between Ben Lambert and Adrian Lamb.
The Under 11s found themselves with no game and hurriedly arranged a friendly against Littleborough Juniors winning 5-1. Goalscorers were Jake Balmforth, James Crorken, Anthony Harker, Scott Metcalfe and debut boy Tom McCalley.
