Jared Stead-Clark has completed the first stage of his army training to become an air trooper.
His parents, Pauline and James, of Earcroft, Darwen, and his sister, Morgan, seven, travelled to Winchester for the passing out day at the Sir John Moore Barracks.
Jared is a former pupil of St Bede's School in Blackburn.
Mrs Stead-Clark said: "We are all really proud of him. It was a wonderful day and now Jared has gone onto the second phase of his training with the army air corps, which will involve driving HGVs."
