Division One: Bolton Wanderers 2 Tranmere Rovers 3
BOLTON might have guessed that old boy Scott Taylor would have something up his sleeve, but his match winner still proved a major surprise.
Taylor left the Reebok Stadium for £50,000 last year and hadn't managed a league goal this term...up until Saturday.
But he put that right with the all-important winning strike 11 minutes from time just as it looked as though Wanderers had done enough to salvage a point.
First Division form team Tranmere, who ended up with 10 men following the dismissal of Gareth Roberts, established a two goal lead courtesy of Andy Parkinson and Dave Challinor.
But Bolton hit back through Eidur Gudjohnsen and veteran Bob Taylor only for their former striker to spoil things.
The shock home defeat leaves Bolton a couple of points adrift of the play-off places.
