STAFF at Whalley Abbey are going to new heights to raise cash for the upkeep of the historic site.
They will do a parachute jump at the Black Knights Centre, Cockerham, on Sunday
The stunt is being sponsored by visitors to the abbey and the Blackburn Diocese to raise funds for the Whalley Abbey ruins, retreat house and conference centre.
Coffee shop manager Collette Vickery said: "Several abbey staff have contracted millennium madness and the only remedy is to jump out of a plane!
