A GRANT of more than £1m was due to help build a multi-million-pound canalside housing estate and park near Blackburn town centre.
Environment Minister Colin Moynihan awarded a grant of £1,209,000 to Manchester-based Elite Homes (North West) Ltd to build 54 flats and 84 houses in Lower Audley. The scheme would cost £7,216,000.
