IT'S cheap, it's cheerful and it works.

Our brand new "Pick and Mix" classroom resource has been designed by teachers to boost skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and maths for KS2 and KS3.

And to let them see for themselves, teachers have been invited to an after school viewing session at our head office in Blackburn, from 3.45 to 5pm, on Thursday.

Invitations, have been sent to all schools within our circulation area along with information on our current range of educational material, including the "Pick and Mix" literacy ad numeracy resource.

The "Pick and Mix" material, comprising a class set of up to five different activity sheets for pupils, plus the same number of copies of our newspaper can be delivered on any day of the week and uses some of our regularly published features to link lessons to pupils' own interests and environment. From only £10 for the minimum order of 25 and only one pound extra for every additional set of five, the resource is a cost effective way to cover many aspects of current educational strategies, including the literacy and numeracy hours, and could help to strengthen educational links with homes.

For more information on this or any of our classroom resources, or for a no-obligation viewing and discussion of these in your own school, please contact Rita Shaw, NIE Co-ordinator, telephone 01254 678678 ext 255 or fax 01254 680429.
