GUESTS in top Russian hotels are sleeping on East Lancashire made bed linen!
Hilden Manufacturing, of Oswaldtwistle, is supplying an increasing quantity of products to Russia. The firm struck a deal with a Vienna-based Russian company 18 months ago which supplies many of the top hotels with table and bed linen.
"It is a growing market and and we very happy with the way things are going there," said export sales manager John McCaughran.
Dennis Guliy and Nick Fortuna, of the Russian firm Radius, made a two-day visit to Hilden.
The visit came just over 30 years since the last Russian visitors toured the mill. A party of high ranking Russian trade unionists came to East Lancashire in 1966 to look at cloth manufactured at Hilden who were trying to sell it behind the Iron Curtain.
