I WOULD like to warn other road users about a driver who disregards the use of indicators or other road vehicles in her quest to go whichever way she pleases.
My husband had dropped my son off at Utopia in Blackburn and was on his way home along Barbara Castle Way in the left-hand lane to go up to Eanam towards the M65.
A car in the right-hand lane was indicating right as though it was going to Morrisons or Church Street.
As he went round the roundabout the woman driver turned left up towards Eanam over the chevrons, forcing my husband to clamp his brakes on.
As they were approaching the traffic lights at the Shell garage at the top end of Furthergate, she was indicating left as though turning to the Tesco store.
My husband was in the lane to go straight ahead. The woman, indicating left, went straight forward and if it was not for my husband braking again and sounding his horn, she would have run into him and the car in front.
The car then carried on towards the roundabout at Whitebirk near the Red Lion pub. Again, she was indicating left round the roundabout, while my husband was in the right-hand lane following the road round. She then drove into him and forced him to drive on to the grass verge to avoid any serious damage to himself and our car.
She then sped off in the direction of the larger roundabout and who knows where after that.
She was either drunk, or on drugs, or just wanted to smash her car up and did not care who else's she took along with her.
She failed to stop. If there is anyone who knows this person or sees a damaged red small car, we would like to know.
If this just lets other people know about this person, all well and good because next time, she may kill someone.
L DICKEN (Mrs), Burnley.
