TIME Computers is celebrating after winning a prestigious award to mark the company's achievements.
The Simonstone-based computer giant has scooped the Confederation of British Industry's coveted title of the North West's Best Emerging Company.
Rob Davies, Time's PR Manager, said: "The company feels this award recognises not only the increasing strength of Time, but also the contribution it has made to local industry and commerce in the North West."
Time is a major force in the UK computer industry with more than 180 stores in the UK, alongside showrooms in Ireland and the Netherlands.
The retail presence coupled with the mail order side of the business and Time's interests in the SME market and education means that the company is easily one of the largest computer companies in the UK.
The company started in Blackburn and has kept close local links with its head office and manufacturing plant based in Simonstone.
Rob Davies said: "The North West is very important to Time. With the roots of the country in the region Time is committed to staying here, continuing to grow and adding prosperity to the area, while being a major player both nationally and internationally."
