A TEENAGER was left badly shaken when she was pushed against a wall by a youth who tried to steal her shoulder bag.
The 13-year-old girl was at the end of the pedestrian bridge over the M65 motorway in Reedyford Road, Nelson, when a youth approached.
The girl, who police have not named, screamed and he ran off empty-handed.
The offender is Asian, aged 16 or 17 years, 5ft 6 to 7in tall, with dark straight hair. He was wearing a white woollen jumper and dark trousers.
The incident happened at 6.30pm on Monday.
