POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Clayton Brook in which one of the cars involved failed to stop.
The accident happened at the Pines roundabout, at the junction of the A6 and Westwood Road, at 1am today.
A dark blue Ford Mondeo car travelling along Westwood Road was involved in a collision with a green Rover Metro travelling towards Chorley.
The Metro was spun round 180 degrees and although the female driver was not injured police said she was extremely distressed. The Mondeo failed to stop.
Anyone who saw a Mondeo with accident damage to its offside, in particular the bumper, valance and indicator is asked to contact the road policing unit at Chorley on 01257 246376.
