A TEACHER today denied three charges of indecent assault against boys.
John Cartmell, 49, a teacher at St Mary's RC Primary School, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Hyndburn Magistrates Court.
The bench directed a trial by jury and the case was adjourned until January 20 for committal.
Cartmell, of Manchester Road, Hapton, was remanded on conditional bail. He was told not to communicate or approach any of the prosecution witnesses.
