ANGLER Duane Fishwick may only be at junior school but he's rapidly catching-up with the big boys.
The 31/4lb perch he's pictured with earned 10 years-old Duane a £100 rod in an Angling Times competition.
Leigh CE schoolboy Duane, of Maple Crescent, Leigh, was fishing the Bridgewater Canal at Butts Bridge when he hooked the specimen fish.
"He's pulled-out a 22lb pike and a 6lb 2oz tench from the same spot," said his proud and somewhat envious dad, Bert.
Success with rod and line seem to come naturally to the aptly-named family Fishwick - Duane's nine years-old sister Tina regularly has 15-20 fish in her keep net and has caught perch up to a pound-and-a-half! NON
