HOUSEHOLDERS in Hapton launched a poster war against "the cranks of Cronker Wood" who were holding war games near their homes.
Residents posted "Save Cronker Wood" signs along Burnley Road, as they feared acres of woodland plantation were under twin attack - from battle enthusiasts and from the Zeri leisure park project.
