Bold Miners 4 Shaw Rhinos 4 BOLD gave the league leaders the fright of their lives and can count themselves unlucky not to have claimed maximum points.
The Rhinos, coached by Iestyn Harris, led 4-nil at the break, despit great defensive stints by Dave Scott, Ian Honey and Brian Connaire.
But the second half belonged to Bold. Strong running from Darren Anders and Nick Joseph ended with Chris Burgess touching down.
Shaw were forced to defend heroically as Brian Buckley and Chris Keane were hauled down short of the line.
And Nick Joseph had a tried disallowed as the referee ruled he had not grounded the ball.
The Grundy Excavations man of the match was Ian Honey, while other notable contributions came from Dave Scott, Chris Keane, Brian Connaire and Nick Joseph.
