The 16-year-old claimed the title with one round to spare at Ashton's Three Sisters international track.

David, of Union Bank Lane, Bold, is a former pupil of Rainhill High, and is an apprentice plumber.
And to finance his sport he also works evenings and weekends ain a bar/restaurant.
But it's an expensive sport and he's looking for more backing. He particularly needs the use of a van on selected weekendds next year.
