Haresfinch 34 Albert Park 4 FINCH notched their third league win of the season at the expense of fellow strugglers Albert Park.
The home side produced a faultless first half display with full-back Dave Penny again in top form as they led 18-0 at the interval.
They opened their account when second-row Ian Derbyshire sent centre Chris Mason bursting through for an unconverted try. Then Derbyshire went over himself after picking up a loose pass.
Two more tries by centre John Jackson, one converted by Anthony Seabrook, completed the first-half scoring.
Jackson completed his hat-trick early in the second half from a chip through by stand-off Dave Meadows, then turned provider to send winger Kel Gearing scorching in, Seabrook converting both.
Veteran packman Karl Farrall completed the home side's tally when he crossed for a fine try wide out before the visitors grabbed a late consolation effort.
Seabrook was the Franco's Wholesale Ltd. man-of-the-match for Finch closely followed by Stuart Simmons and John Jackson.

The Finch youngsters returned to winning ways following their cup setback as they retained their unbeaten league record in emphatic style, running in 11 tries without reply.
With scrum-half Lee Critchley dictating the play, man-of-the-match, Roy Tickle (3), James Taylor (2), Tim Hodgson (2), Chris Sheffield, Ian Knowles, top tackler Ian Robinson and Ant Parr touched down for Finch, full-back Ste Anders adding six conversions.
The winners were also well served by Paul Martlew, Carl Riley and Ste Lloyd in his first match of the season.
This week Finch are away to fellow title contenders Leyland Warriors in a top-of-the-table clash.
