ILLNESS and absences took their toll on St Helens Schools under15s.
It resulted in them taking a 9-0 beating from Wirral in the Merseyside League.
However the under 14s continued their improved as Craig Whittaker scored the only goal of the game on the Wirral.
This Saturday the under 14s play at Ruskin Drive (10.30 am) whilst the Primary Schoolboys A play Newcastle-under-Lyme, and the B play Wirral, both at Rainhill High School, K.O. 10 a.m.
