POLICE are investigating a number of thefts of National Lottery Instants scratch cards from off-licences, post offices and other authorised outlets in St Helens, Rainhill and Eccleston.

An estimated £5,000 worth of scratch cards have been stolen over the last six months and the thefts are being investigated by the police in conjunction with Camelot security.

Both Camelot and the police are advising that National Lottery Instants scratch cards should only be bought at authorised outlets.

Anyone who is offered lottery cards which they believe may have been stolen, or anyone with information regarding the thefts, can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
