CHELTENHAM Gold Cup hope Dorans Pride flies to Britain this weekend to run at Haydock Park.
The horse has never previously raced over fences in Britain except at the Cheltenham Festival and Aintree's Grand National meeting.
It is a fillip for the efforts being made by Haydock to attract the very best horses from across the British Isles.
Dorans Pride has been entered in Saturday's Bet Direct Tommy Whittle Chase, which last year saw the clash between the two Grand National winners Earth Summit and Lord Gyllene.
Haydock's managing director Richard Thomas said: "We've made significant efforts this National Hunt season to attract the top horses for our racegoers to watch. More prize money and the best facilities for owners and trainers at any British racecourses are reaping rewards".
