COUNCILLORS have taken advantage of the latest computer technology and launched their own website.
Rainhill residents are the first in the borough to have the on-line facility and if they can't get to their local surgery they can always contact their ward representatives - Councillors Joe De Asha, Mike Doyle and Phil Speakman - on the web to raise issues which are concerning them.
Councillor Doyle, said: "We're definitely leading the way with the borough's first website and have already received praise from members of the public for our forward thinking.
"I have received an e-mail from a doctor who lives locally who said it was good to see us starting to develop modern communication methods in local government. In the same e-mail he was able to raise some of his concerns locally and we are now looking into them."
